Colours are often associated with political parties.
Red is mostly associated with the Australian Labor Party and blue with the Liberal Party of Australia. The Australian Greens use a bright shade of green on their logo, while The Nationals use a darker shade of green. Yellow has been used by the United Australia Party and the Jacquie Lambie Network. Orange is associated with Pauline Hanson’s One Nation. Some independent candidates are associated with the colour teal.
Parties use colour to quickly and easily identify someone as being associated with their party. They also use these colours in logos, websites and even on the ties or scarves worn by party members.
