How many people are there in the Cabinet?

There are approximately 20 ministers who are part of Cabinet. This is the top-level decision-making group within the Australian Government.

According to the Ministers of State Act 1952, there can be no more than 30 ministers, but not all ministers are in Cabinet.

The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet publishes a current list of all ministers, including which ones are in Cabinet.
