Rights, power, action is a flexible resource that Legal Studies and Politics teachers can use to deliver curriculum-aligned and practical lessons for students of all levels. Through role-play, negotiation and problem-solving, students will experience democratic processes first-hand, and connect with authentic political and legal issues.
With the classroom activities in Rights, power, action your students can:
- use negotiation strategies to form a minority government
- put co-operative federalism into action to decide an issue of national significance
- conduct a law reform inquiry and present recommendations to a citizen’s jury.
How can it be used?
These activities use role-play, negotiation and problem solving to engage students with authentic learning experiences. Use the activities on their own or in conjunction with our Classroom activities.
